A Brief Biography of Mrs. Renu Tawadey

Renu
Tawadey is a self Taught Textile enthusiast and combined with her experience
in tourism has weaved together a textile tour that combines the culture,
sights ,sound and colours of India and its rich influence on the mighty
Indian Textiles.
Mrs. Tawadey has led several textile tours for textile enthusiasts
worldwide over the last decade. Through her experience she has natured and
developed invaluable links with eminent personalities -Mr. Martand Singh,Mr.
Muzaffar Ali,Mrs.Pavithra Muthiah,Ms.L.Tyabji, Textile InstitutionsNational
Institute of Fashion Technology,Community programs with textiles such as
Self Employed Womens Association , Khadi Gram Udyog, Museums Dakshinchitra,
Princely Textile
Museums -Rajasthan.,National Museum Delhi (Textile Department).Due to her
passion for textiles, Mrs. Tawadey has inroads into various unique places
that remain untouched by the tourist . These places remain as a preserve of
a few textile connoisseurs. Mrs. Tawadey has also been instrumental in the
reviving of lost arts of production for old Textiles.
Mrs. Tawadey has been in the travel and tourism trade since 1969. She
continues to develop special interest tours focusing on textiles, pottery,
sculpture and various arts of India.
